Josie Barraclough: ‘Life’s Vibrant Canvas’.

The new show at the Bingley Art Gallery is by Josie Barraclough. 'Life's Vibrant Canvas' and will be open from 10 til 5 Thurs to Sunday between 11 Sept and 12 Oct. 

A solo show from one of the gallery’s favourite artists –  a kaleidoscopic exploration of flora, fauna and favourite landscapes. Josie was formerly head of Art at Bradford Grammar School where she was , by all accounts, an inspirational teacher. Since retirement she has  thrown her energy and talent into her own art practise.

In this City of Culture Year, the Bingley Gallery has been keen to showcase homegrown talent, and Josie was an obvious candidate. Our offer of a solo exhibition, initiated, in her, a phase of remarkably productive painting  of which nearly 30 will be on show for the exhibition.
